V Portrait

We've Changed!

V Portrait is now an on-location only studio.

Due to increasing gas and electric rates, we have been forced to leave our home studio. We are now living in a beautiful apartment, the Villas at Huffmeister, but cannot set up studio here.

But the good news is, I will come to YOU! No additional mileage charges will be charged for the remainder of the year.

Latest portraits taken of myself and my daughter Katelynne. I painted the images of Katelynne and blended one of them for a new style. The image of myself and Katelynne was done as an update to our fireplace portrait. I'm very excited to get it in so I can get it in the frame and hang it. :)

Cy Fair Homecoming

This was my daughter Katelynne's first ever homecoming, and boy was she excited! She had a great time and is looking forward to next year.

We found her the perfect dress in her favorite color, teal, and it really brought out her eyes!

My son Jon also went and had a great time. Although I did not get to photograph him and his date, I did get a picture of him with his sister. :)

It was the longest night ever for me. I'm normally in bed by 11pm on weekends. This was a 2am'er for me. :(

My brother Todd was married to Teresa Saturday, September 22nd, and I had the wonderful priveledge of photographing the whole occasion for them.

They looked so happy! My brother was just as handsome as ever, and my new sister-in-law is just beautiful!

The best part is, they've moved here to Houston, so I hope I get to see them a lot. :D

Kitchen Remodeling

I'm toying with the idea of restaining the cabinets and floor (floor is same color wood as cabinets) a darker color. I'll update here when painting is complete and have a vote on stain color for cabinets and floor. :)

Out of Town

I will be out of town the weekend of September 21st.

My brother is getting married and I will be in San Antonio photographing the wedding for him and his new bride, and hopefull enjoying it as well. ;)

I will not be taking studio appointments at this time.

Another Remodel Update

My office is (semi)complete. I still have a couple of places up high to paint, but other than that, and replacing the curtains, my office is finished. Still a little disorganized, but what else is new? I have never been the most organized person in the world, but I'm going to try to be better about that. :) This shows the complete office, my supply area, and the entry. I still need to buy door frames for the entry there by the table though, when I was removing them to paint and tile, they split like dry crackers! I'm hoping to be completely finished with this whole project this year. ;) I still have to finish grouting the showroom, but with no AC it's a hard job to complete as it's so hot in here!

Remodel Update!

I'm getting closer to being done! I still need to lay tile in Fred's corner of the office, then I'll start grouting my showroom and his area when the tiles cure. Then all I need to do is finish painting the office, paint baseboards and put them back on, buy more doorframes (they crumbled like dry crackers when I took them off) and paint them and put them up, put the carpet finshers on in the hallway (I decided not to tile the entire hallway due to I'm not a professional and the hallway angles and I don't want to mess it up and make it look stupid! LOL ). So, when all is said and done, I'm hoping this place looks absolutely GORGEOUS! Gimme some feedback! :)

It's been a few days since I updated on my remodeling project. Remodeling

V Portrait is going through a remodeling phase! I was just so sick of the white walls, dirty carpet, and dull marble, that I just couldn't help myself! I've torn the carpet up in the showroom, and have begun to chisel away at the marble. The marble is going to be the worst! It's very thick, and has at least 1/8" thick layer of adhesive under it. It's a very slow process. I do have an alternative though, I could rent a pneumatic chisel to cut time in half, or a demolition hammer. The kids thought that would be cool, probably because it has the word "demolition" in it. LOL The office will be the last area to be tiled, as I, and my husband both, cannot be without our computers for too long. We go through withdrawals. Well, I would. He just has work to do on his. Constantly working that man is! I cannot wait until it's all complete! It's going to look fabulous! And there will be less dust to kick up my allergies, and hopefully it will keep it cooler in here! Our A/C is on the blink. :( Here are some pictures of progression. I'll keep everyone up to date with progress and pictures! :)

Spring Branch/Bulverde Texas

I will be accepting appointments starting Monday March 12. Mother's Day is just around the corner! Be prepared. I will have some fabulous specials going on for Mother's Day!

Beautiful Children

I'm so lucky to have such wonderful people to work with. These children are my neighbors across the street. They are so beautiful! And Madison is so full of spunk and humor it's hilarious! She was a trooper though, when we put that tutu on her and she said it was so itchy, she still bore with me and sat. I worked as quickly as I could so she didn't have to wear it for too long. And the boys, forget about it! They will melt your heart!
