The Other Half of V Portrait

The other half of V Portrait, my wonderful husband and best friend, has been in the hospital with heart complications.
It all started Wednesday night when he had a mini stroke. I got him to the emergency room immediately. Thursday afternoon I took him to a cardiologist at the ER attendee's recommendation, and they found an enlarged heart pumping at only 15%.
Apparently he had also had a very small blood clot in the heart that broke up and caused the stroke. It is gone now.
He underwent an angeogram this morning to check for blockage of the arteries, and they were clear to my great relief!
He will spend the rest of the week in the hospital being monitored for the blood thinner (cumidin) that he is being put on.

What an eye opener for both of us!
Both of us have been smokers for 22 years.
We now plan to stop smoking, eat healthier and start an exercise routine when he's able to.

Never take your health too lightly because you never know. My husband is only 41 years old!
