V Portrait

V Portrait is now an on-location only studio.

Due to increasing gas and electric rates, we have been forced to leave our home studio. We are now living in a beautiful apartment, the Villas at Huffmeister, but cannot set up studio here.

But the good news is, I will come to YOU!  No additional mileage charges will be charged for the remainder of the year.

Latest portraits taken of myself and my daughter Katelynne. I painted the images of Katelynne and blended one of them for a new style. The image of myself and Katelynne was done as an update to our fireplace portrait. I'm very excited to get it in so I can get it in the frame and hang it.  :)

This was my daughter Katelynne's first ever homecoming, and boy was she excited!  She had a great time and is looking forward to next year.

We found her the perfect dress in her favorite color, teal, and it really brought out her eyes!

My son Jon also went and had a great time. Although I did not get to photograph him and his date, I did get a picture of him with his sister.  :)

It was the longest night ever for me. I'm normally in bed by 11pm on weekends. This was a 2am'er for me.  :(

Here are some of my favorite images from the night of Katelynne and her boyfriend Jay, and the last of Katelynne and my son Jon.

My brother Todd was married to Teresa Saturday, September 22nd, and I had the wonderful priveledge of photographing the whole occasion for them.

They looked so happy! My brother was just as handsome as ever, and my new sister-in-law is just beautiful!

The best part is, they've moved here to Houston, so I hope I get to see them a lot.  :D

I'm starting on the remodeling of my kitchen and camera room now. I still need to get baseboards and doorframes painted and put back in place, but wanted to start on removing wallpaper from the kitchen to get it ready for painting.

I'm toying with the idea of restaining the cabinets and floor (floor is same color wood as cabinets) a darker color. I'll update here when painting is complete and have a vote on stain color for cabinets and floor.  :)

I will be out of town the weekend of September 21st.

My brother is getting married and I will be in San Antonio photographing the wedding for him and his new bride, and hopefull enjoying it as well.  ;)

I will not be taking studio appointments at this time.

My office is (semi)complete. I still have a couple of places up high to paint, but other than that, and replacing the curtains, my office is finished. Still a little disorganized, but what else is new? I have never been the most organized person in the world, but I'm going to try to be better about that. :)
This shows the complete office, my supply area, and the entry. I still need to buy door frames for the entry there by the table though, when I was removing them to paint and tile, they split like dry crackers! I'm hoping to be completely finished with this whole project this year. ;)
I still have to finish grouting the showroom, but with no AC it's a hard job to complete as it's so hot in here!
